8/10/05 Wednesday's MLB Picks Boston Redsox -1.5 RUNLINE +115 over Texas Rangers (1.0 Units) The Red Sox really dissappoint me yesterday. They should have known better than to put Remlinger out on the mound in his first day as a Red Sox. I have never seen good things happen when a team does that. Really blew our run line there yesterday. Anyways, we like the Red Sox again against these struggling Rangers. The Rangers are just playing horribly right now and we want to capitalize on it. We are trying to bank on the fact that Kenny Rogers is coming back into a hostile road environment. Don't expect this start to be so easy for him.

New York Mets +101 over San Diego Padres (1.5 Units) An odd system of mine at works that involves going for a team that lost as a large favorite. Well, the Mets lost yesterday with Pedro on the mound so there's huge motivation to get that back. Additionally, there's a little bit of complacency with the Padres after scoring so many runs against Pedro. It works both ways. Anyways, we feel the Mets are in for a run after sweeping the Cubbies. Despite their loss to the Padres, we think they will bounce back. Also, realize that Petco is a low scoring park and any team has a chance to win on any given night and we know that Benson is pitcher better than Lawrence this season.
