Sunday July 17 MLB Picks
Not the greatest of days as we saw our Brewers get beat by 2 at home.
We saw our over on the Padres look weak as both the Padres and D-backs
offense never got going and our Orioles lose late when it was tied
2-2. It was not a total bust as we saw our bigger 1.5 unit play on the
Phillies easily come in.
Anyways, onto our picks for Sunday.
Philadelphia Phillies +120 over Florida Marlins (3.0 Units)
Gone 2-0 (+3.0 Units) backing the Phillies since the All Star Break.
We like our situation today because we see value in this play. We do
not necessarily think that they have a higher probability of winning
today than in the prior two games we backed them but we do see +117
totally wrong. The Phillies are 9-5 this season at home against
lefties. Willis will not scare their offensive machine.
Milwaukee Brewers -120 over Washington Nationals (1.5 Units)
This is more of a home field advantage type of a play than anything else.
Chicago Cubs - Pittsburgh Pirates OVER total (1.0 Units)
The Cubs offense has been smokin' and we are 1-0 this week backing their overs.
Atlanta Braves +180 over New York Mets (1.0 Units)
Value. Pure and simple. Pedro Martinez is great but with the way the
Mets are hitting against the tough Braves pitching, they should not be
-200.
Boston Redsox - New York Yankees OVER 11 (1.0 Units)
Totally killed that 1.5 unit for the over two days ago when we saw the
Red Sox put up 17. Both offenses will likely come back fired up
tonight and see a nice comfortable over.
