Monday July 18th MLB Picks
We followed up our 1-3 day on Saturday with a very profitable 3-2
(+4.24 Units). We smashed our Game of the Year 3.0 Unit Play on the
Phillies and our 1.5 unit play on the Brewers. Doing so, bumped us
back to #2 at the National Sports Monitor for baseball betting.
We only have 2 plays on the board for Monday.
Cincinnati Reds -105 over Chicago Cubs (1.5 Units)
We are considering upgrading this play to as high as a 3.0 Unit play.
If we change our grading of this wager then a follow-up email will be
sent. We like this play for a few reasons. First, we like the Reds
offense right now. Ken Griffey Jr. is stroking it. We also like the
Reds bats against right handed pitching. We also like them at home
where we see them at 27-22. What bodes well for the Reds is that they
are coming off a home sweep against the lowly Rockies and are staying
home while we see a Cubs team, travelling to the Reds off a series
win. Complacency could set in the Cubs. The Cubs are division rivals
for the Reds so expect the Reds to play hard. We also like the Over in
this game.
Chicago Cubs - Cincinnati Reds OVER 9.5 (1.0 Units)
We are 2-0 on the Cubs overs so far this week. We are taking their
over again. The difference between this game and our other two plays
was that we expected the offensive power coming ONLY from the Cubs.
The respect the Cubs pitchers got produced such a low total that we
expected the Cubs themselves to topple the over. Any runs by the
opposing team would be gravy. But for this game, we also love what we
see out of the Reds offense. We expect a great game from both teams
but still expect a Reds win. Nevertheless, an easy over here. Should
we also mention that the Reds Stadium is very conducive to overs? The
Reds are 27-22 for the overs at home.
