I have 3 picks today each for 1.5 Units.
No need to analyze the pitching matchups today as the relative
strengths of the pitchers as per the team has already been taken into
account in the Odds. Most of our angles for today will deal with first
games of the series, home/away dynamics, recent hitting slumps, etc.
St. Louis Cardinals +135 over Toronto Blue Jays (1.5 Units)
Cardinals as a dog is always a good play as they are 21-18 last year
and this year combined as a dog. We went against Halladay in his last
start and we will go against him again. The truth of the matter is
that the Blue Jays just are not hitting right now. They have been
shutout twice in the past 4 games and are travelling from Houston to
Toronto. Spirits are low on this club so we are going to take the
great value with the Cardinals today. Keep in mind that today's system
is the same on we used with the White Sox over the Padres which went
2-1.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays +120 over Milwaukee Brewers (1.5 Units)
The Devil Rays are a horrible team, we all know that so that is why we
see them as a dog. What most bettors don't realize is that they are
16-14 at home while the Brewers are only 11-22 on the road. The
Brewers are coming off a sweep and are themselves having trouble
scoring plenty of runs. The Devil Rays have had a tough road trip and
are anxious to get back home when they can succeed. It helps that they
won yesterday by hitting well. We should see the Devil Rays as -115
not the other way around.
Result: Pending
Texas Rangers -125 over Atlanta Braves (1.5 Units)
Similar to the reasoning I used for the Devil Rays. We are backing the
Rangers because the Atlanta Braves are absolutely horrible on the road posting a team batting average below 0.235. That will not get it done
against a Rangers team scoring 5 or more runs in each of their last 4
games. They are anxious to get home.
