6/20/05 Monday MLB Picks [EasyBaseballBetting ranks back to #6] Inbox
Despite struggling a bit this past week with the bases, went 1-1
yesterday with the run lines for a +0.25 units good enough to leap
frog from being ranked #8 back to ranked #6.
So far my picks for Monday are:
Yankees Run Line (-110) over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays [1.0 Units]
The Devil Rays are horrendous on the road posting a 5-28 away record.
The Yankees, having been swept by this very same team in Tampa can be
expected to put their best effort today. In fact, the Yankees' hurler
could not last even 3 innings in his past start against the Devil
Rays. With the recent Yankees resurgence and the Devil Rays having
been swept at home, we see value in taking the Yankees run line. In
their 22 home wins, the Yankees have beat the run line 18 of those
times. We like more of the same today as the Yankees satisfy a 17-6
runline betting system.
Milwaukee Brewers -110 over Chicago Cubs [1.5 units]
We see a struggling Cubs team get swept on the road in New York
travelling to Milwaukee against a division rival dying to get back on
their home field. The Brewers are an impressive 17-12 at home. Tomo
Ohka has pitched better this season than Maddux and is backed up by
the better home field advantage. No way this game should be a -110.
Play#3
Looking to play:
Los Angeles Dodgers +160 over San Diego Padres (1.0 Units)
For the past 7 or 8 seasons, possibly more, the underdog in this
rivalry has won better than 50% of the time. In fact, it improves to
20-13 in Game #1. It is 7-2 if the dog is the home team. This very
same fact is true of the Red Sox- Yankees rivalry. You see, rivalries
bring the best out of everyone. Teams perform at their highest level
and shine. What I do not understand is why the Dodgers are +160. Even
though they have been struggling lately, so have the Padres and in a
stadium where runs are hard to come by (Petco) a close game can go
either way especially in a divisional rivalry game. Take the value
with the Dodgers.
