9/2/05 Friday's MLB Picks (4)
Philadelphia Phillies -135 over Washington Nationals ( 1.5 Units)
The Nationals have simply been horrible as of late. The Phillies are coming off a 3-1 win with Lieber yesterday. Vicente Padilla could have a great game today as we see a Nationals team that struggles scoring runs.
Houston Astros +133 over St. Louis Cardinals (1.0 Units)
This game means much more to the Astros than it does to the Cardinals. The Cardinals can coast the last 30 games and still win the NL Central for sure. There's plenty of motivation with these Astros and as +133 dogs at home versus a division rivalry, we have got to love the value.
Cleveland Indians -110 over Minnesota Twins (1.0 Units)
We like CC Sabathia here in a division rivalry game. The Indians are in a heated wild card race.
Pittsburgh Pirates +100 over Chicago Cubs (1.0 Units)
Both teams are playing absolutely horribly. Take the Pirates in game 1 of this series as they will surprise the Cubs.
