9/23/05 Friday's MLB Picks
New York Mets +123 over Washington Nationals (1.5 Units)
Both teams are seriously playing pretty bad right now. That is why we get value taking the +120 dogs in this situation. At least the Mets won their series with the Marlins. The Nationals, on the other hand, are averaging less than 2 runs in their past 4 games.
Milwaukee Brewers +130 over St. Louis Cardinals (1.0 Units)
I am going against these Cardinals again. There could be a let down as they travel to Milwaukee today from Cincinnati. They really do not have much to play for as they have locked the playoffs spots.
Minnesota Twins +150 over Chicago White Sox (1.5 Units)
The White Sox cannot hit. They scored all of 1 run in their past 2 games. They are just horrible. Going against them at +150 really does seem like a gift.
Oakland Athletics -140 over Texas Rangers (1.0 Units)
I know that going against Kenny Rogers at -140 is unpopular but the Athletics are unstoppable at home versus lefties. Bank on their offense today against the reeling Rangers off getting swept by the Angels.
