Los Angeles Dodgers -105 over Arizona Diamondbacks (2.0 Units)
Our only loss yesterday was going against the Dodgers. The Dodgers showed a great deal of heart at home against the Pirates. Expect their bats to stay alive as they play the Diamondbacks today. The Diamonbacks had a day off yesterday and are travelling from home on the road. With them being in the season wind down mode, the Dodgers home field advantage is stronger today.

New York Mets +170 over Philadelphia Phillies (1.5 Units)
We see the Mets as an abnormally large dog here because the Phillies are in the Wild Card hunt and the bettor's predetermination to bet on Jon Lieber. Lieber is not that great as we have mentioned several times. +170 is a gift.

Houston Astros -115 over St. Louis Cardinals (1.0 Units)
I have seen this spread as bad as -123. I doubt that it'd stay there because the public will likely bet down that spread by tapping on a Cardinals team as a home dog. The trouble though is that these Cardinals are just winding down this season. They are not putting out their best effort as evidenced by their 4-6L10 record. The Astros are 7-3L10 and have one of the hottest pitchers on the mound today. Roy Oswalt got a loss in his last outing. He should pitch well today.

New York Yankees -180 over Baltimore Orioles (1.0 Units)
Bet this early because this spread is likely to grow. With Mussina on the mound, this spread could get up to -230. Anyways, the Yankees bats are lighting it up and we got Bruce Chen going against them. Bruce Chen is actually pretty good with a 2.9 ERA at home. 3.60 ERA overall. With the Orioles struggling and having lost 9 straight games, it is pretty hard to expect them to right the ship going against Mussina and with the Yankees bats livened up.

Detroit Tigers +125 over Chicago White Sox (1.5 Units)
We got a lucky winner with those Tigers yesterday and we want to back them again. The pitcher we expected to pitch yesterday is slated to pitch today. I see these Tigers possibly stealing another game from the White Sox as a home dog divisional rival. The Tigers would love nothing more than to play spoiler.

Texas Rangers +150 over Seattle Mariners (1.0 Units)
Why does the betting public love Felix Hernandez so much. I know he's young. I know he's good. But he plays with a lousy offense. For him to be -165 on this horrible Mariners team is Pedro Martinezesque. It just does not happen. We see these Rangers playing well lately and these Mariners already packing it in. With the spread at +150, love the odds.
