2005 MLB Season Trends
Home Dogs are winning approximately 50% of the time as of May 30, 2005. Although we cannot expect this trend to continue, we can expect to see home dogs becoming devalued as the season progresses once this becomes widely publicized.
Rockies at home
Rockies as a home dog continue to be a winning system this season. As a favorite of -115 or greater, they are 3-1 so far this season. The Rockies are a horrible team but are stellar at home. Keep this in mind as they go up against the Cardinals at home this week because we are likely to get some great odds.
Favorites of -200 or better are on an amazing 42-12 (78%) pace this season. Up 14.7 units this season!
Perfect 2005 System: Heavy Betting Favorites
-200 or better favorites in the first game of a series against division rivals have not lost at all this season as of May 30, 2005, going 9-0. In fact, this was a winning system in 2004 going 72%.
Going Against Yankees
Going against the Yankees every one of their first 49 games is a positive 9.74 Units. This goes in line with our theory that the Yankees are always overvalued due to their high profile status.
Perfect High Scoring Trend
We have heard the saying, "they used up all of their offense today". With this season being one of the lowest scoring seasons in a while, it may be true. Going against a team that scored double digit points against the same opponent it faced its earlier game so long as their opponent did not get double digit points is a +10.6 units this season. This system is a perfect 7-0 (+8.39 units) if our team is on the road and has 5 or more wins in their past 10 games.
