Compare Betting Odds

Many novice gamblers that I work with are just too content with betting at one sportsbook. I cannot stress it enough what a big mistake that is. By betting on one sportsbook, a dime player could be throwing away as many as $10,000 - $20,000 dollars.

Here are some of the most typical reasons you are losing money:

• By betting baseball at one sportsbook, you are agreeing to take whatever odds they have regardless of how bad it is. You will be getting the best odds in some circumstances but you will also be getting the worst odds in other circumstances. This means that you are throwing away approximately 5% juice on every game. Instead of winning your underdogs at +150, you are winning them at +145. Instead of losing on favorites at -120, you are losing them at -125.
   
• Internet betting establishments, regardless of whether or not they are safe or trustworthy really hurt you in the long run. By betting with them daily, they begin to create a profile of you as a gambler. They know if you like taking underdogs or favorites. If you like home teams or road teams. If you bet with the public or against them. If you like taking teams down big at halftime, etc. In the end, they start to adjust the odds against your betting tendencies further decreasing your profits.
   
• Sportsbooks online know that people are shopping around for the best odds so many niche sites are purposely throwing out good underdog odds, good favorite odds, etc. Be sure to join at least 3-4 sportsbooks to make sure you get the wide breadth of betting odds.
