The Padres are not looking so brilliant themselves but so what, we are getting them at extreme value (+205) .... or not? But when we look at the data, here is what it says. Going FOR a team against a non-divisional rival that is averaging fewer than 2 runs a game L5 but is favored by more than -200 is [18-2, +13 units] in the first game of a series. This makes sense. The Rangers have a chance to bounceback here at home and turn a new leaf. The Rangers are 6-2 at home with Millwood on the mound and they'd probably win if they can score plenty of runs and take this game seriously.
