We wanted to look at a very simple scenario as to how teams fared if they were swept in a double header and then lost the following game. We find that going against them is 41-27, +11 units. We also found that it is an important part of the angle to make sure that the team we bet on scored more than 5 runs in its previous game. Restricting to that case and we've got ourselves a nifty 22-12, +9 unit angle on a 7-1, +7 unit streak. This is a small sample size and could just be a statistical fluctuation but what seals the deal as this being a pick is the fact that Cabrera is on the mound for the Orioles and that man is horrible.

Oakland Athletics +197 over the Cleveland Indians (1.0 Units) - These Athletics are, according to Yahoo Sports, surging. They are winners of 6 of their past 7 games, and are coming into this game having pummeled C.C. Sabathia for nine runs in 3 and a third. So if the Athletics can pummel Sabathia into the ground then they could surely do the same to Fausto Carmona. The Indians are looking to avoid a 3-game sweep with their ace on the mound, an angle that would ordinarily be strong, but considering how strong the Athletics offense has been, this nullifies the situation that the Indians are in especially considering we are getting such a potent team at +197. Making the Athletics are underdog pick of the day.
