NEW: Follow us on Twitter!
EasyBaseballBetting.com - April 27, 2008
We do not usually have five picks in one day, let alone two days in a row so for those of you new to our picks mailing list, do not be surprised that we have only 1 pick today.
The computer spit out several picks like the Devil Rays AGAIN but can't go against the Red Sox as they are fighting to avoid a sweep. We've found a nasty American League angle going against the Drays today. The program also said to take the Athletics but cannot go against Felix and his 1.67 ERA especially not after the A's faced a lefty yesterday and should be off.
The computer never tells us who to bet but rather allows us to hone in on a smaller subset of the games. Because to analyze all 15 games as thoroughly as our website visitors/clients deserve would take forever.
So basically we are left with the Diamondbacks. We will be posting an article on our website within a couple of hours about our thoughts on the games we are not taking (i.e. D'rays, A's)..
-------
Arizona Diamondbacks (107) over San Diego Padres (1.0 Units) - After averaging just 1 run per game in their first 3 home games of this home swing, the Padres put up an 8-spot yesterday -- good enough for an extra iinnings victory over the Diamondbacks.
And for today, we've got a damn good pitching matchup between Brandon Webb and Jake Peavy. Between the two of them, their combined record is 8-0. Now the Padres are favorite today because of home field advantage but aside from yesterday's game, they have not proven to us that they are going to be able to put up runs consistently... let alone against Brandon Webb. Peavy should pitch a good game as well but when you expect a close game, the edge goes to the team that is 17-7 on the season.
Betting on road divisional underdogs against a team that is averaging less than 3 runs per game in their previous 4 starts is +8 units this season. And if our team has a better than 55% record, it has been [20-18, +9 units] dating back to the beginning of the 2005 season.
