We are going to roll with these Rangers again today for the third straight time.. We like them at home whenever they are a small favorite... because we know we are getting value. That does not necessarily mean we would have expected them to be 3-0 this series but definitely getting them as small favorites (or dogs) three times in a home series we expect them to get at least 2 wins is great value.

Now that we have seen how the first two games have played out, we like these Rangers again.

These Rangers fall into a system we love to bet that involves betting on home teams that are either small favorites or underdogs.

We look at home teams in that spread range because as a small favorite, the sportsbooks are pretty much calling this game a draw but giving a little bit extra points to the Rangers out of respect for them being the home team... like a -3 for the football home team. But when we are facing a team struggling to score runs over their previous couple of games then the home field advantage is a bit more pronounced. It is even more pronounced knowing these Rangers are winning games. These Rangers are the third best team moneyline against right handed pitchers. They are negative units against lefties so today is a good day for them in several cases and we like them getting a sweep tonight.

These Rangers are the third best moneyline team against righties but are facing a lefty today and that is one cause for concern for us. These Rangers may struggle to score but we expect the Athletics to struggle scoring as well and that is perhaps more important to our bet than how the Rangers are doing.
