The last time we had this many plays in a day, we went 6-0. It is unusual for us to pick so many plays. We tend to narrow down the number of picks we make into a very small sensible amount of plays but we like all the plays today.
Detroit Tigers (-219) over Baltimore Orioles (1.0 Units) -
This is Washburn's first start for the Tigers and he's going to aim to please. Since the Orioles are pathetic against lefties, this is the perfect game to make his debut. We don't expect him to disappoint. The Tigers offense will also look to make a statement with this game. The odds are ridiculous here but considering the poor Orioles road record and the Tigers great home record, it is sufficient.
-------------------------
Houston Astros (-109) over San Francisco Giants (1.0 Units) -
The Astros are just 3-7 L10 but they've won their last 2 games. And the Giants are just 5-12 with Sanchez on the mound. SO with the home field advantage, at -109 we like our chances.
-------------------------
New York Yankees (130) over Toronto Blue Jays (1.0 Units) -
The Yankees are 15-7 when facing a righty a game after having faced a lefty. And in their case, they've faced three straight lefties. After everybody expecting Halladay to have been dealt, I wouldn't believe he's going to have the concentration necessary to pitch against the high flying offense of the Yankees. Maybe he will but the +130 is very tasty and we're so going to bite.
-------------------------
Seattle Mariners (-114) over Kansas City Royals (1.5 Units) -
The Mariners are 3 games above 500 and have something to play for. The Royals, on the other hand, have nothing to play for. And after averaging fewer than 3 runs a game their past 5 games, what makes us think they'll be able to turn things around today at home against a Mariners team on a mission to bounce back from going 3-7L10.
-------------------------
Cleveland Indians (120) over Minnesota Twins (1.0 Units) - The Indians are divisional rival home dogs today. They shouldn't be. They are +7 units in the first game of a series but -19 units in the second game. So they do come prepared to play when a series starts. When you consider the fact that the Twins and Indians are not good pals, the Indians have a lot to play for today. After scoring double digits two games ago and going 7-3L10, we think momentum will be on their side to make this +120 look like a joke.
