Considering the Cubs are heading into this series having won a 4-game series against the Brewers and the Braves are heading into this series off of two consecutive losses, we'd say the momentum is clearly on the side of the Cubs. And since they have a strong home field advantage (24-14), we like their chances today.

The Rangers are on a roll. They are averaging 7.6 runs a game L5 and have won each of those 5 games. Momentum goes a long way and it might just be what they need to face up against Jered Weaver and hit him well. The Rangers are the league's 3rd best team moneyline as an underdog.
The Rangers start off the series well while the Angels don't. The Angels are a 500 ballclub in the first two games of a series but are 18-7 in the backend of a series. So we don't mind going against them in Game 1 of this series when all the momentum clearly points in the Rangers' favor.
