Philadelphia Phillies (119) over Los Angeles Dodgers (1.5 Units) - The Dodgers pulled off a stunning late ninth inning comeback to beat the Phillies last night. Brad Lidge blew his fifth save this season. But he's not the same pitcher as he was last season where he had 41 saves without a single blown save and an ERA less than 2.
The Dodgers may have the greatest record in baseball, the Phillies are still a pretty good and respectable team. And they do have baseball's best road Moneyline statistics. So with that said, we feel the Phillies will bounce back from last night's squeaker of a loss to the Dodgers.
In a 3-game series tied 1-1, the momentum for the third game goes to the winner of game 2. But because this is a 4-game series, we can throw that concept out of the door. Instead, we'll focus in on the fact that the Phillies are road dogs with a pretty darn good road win percentage. They are playing against a Dodgers team that has been struggling offensively lately. Their loss yesterday broke a 7-game winning streak and chances are that they will bounce back off their 1-run loss.
Home teams off a 1-run loss are [60-30, +26 units] thus far this season.
Take this game action regardless of pitcher.

Seattle Mariners (-102) over Minnesota Twins (1.0 Units) -
Again, here's another pick of ours on the basis of a bounceback. The Twins are a horrible road team (just 7-16 this season). And despite the fact that Washburn hasn't been very good this season, the Twins don't hit lefties as well as they do against righties. They average about 0.7 runs fewer a game against lefties than against righties. And for a team that is averaging just 3.6 runs a game L10, that does not look so well for them. They beat the Mariners in game 1 but we expect the Mariners to fare better today.
When the Mariners lost game 1 against the Orioles, they bounced back to win 8-2.
Home teams off a 1-run loss are [60-30, +26 units] thus far this season.
