Toronto Blue Jays (-138) over Florida Marlins (1.5 Units) -
The Blue Jays lost 9 straight games from the 19th of May to the 27th of May. Since then, they went 7-4 before losing their previous two games. The Blue Jays were supposed to be the Cinderella team this season and had they not lost all those games, they likely would have been.
With that said, we don't think these Blue Jays are going to lose their footing against the Marlins... not for a second game in a row.
Home Interleague favorites in this second game of a series off a loss is +41 units the past 9 seasons. If said team has two back to back losses, the system actually improves. It is just +32 units but in so much fewer games. These teams are 76-32, +32 units.
Back to back losses would mean that our team will have lost the final game of their previous series and lost the first game of the current series. This bodes well for a bounceback game. But we would want to make sure we weren't betting on junk teams, right? Well if we only looked at those teams that have 5 or more wins L10, then they improve to 31-8, +19 units.
So with the Blue Jays being in such a position that they have lost twice, we feel they will take advantage of this "boring" game and beat the Marlins.
