Colorado Rockies (-102) over Houston Astros (1.0 Units) - Wow. We really love these Rockies here today. They are, in genera, a team that always outperforms at home than on the road. Unfortunately for them on this season, they are actually doing quite poorly (just 7-9) at home but check this out. They scored 23 runs thus far in the first two games in their series against the Astros. I guess you could say they are really rolling offensively. But what helps them most in terms of betting systems is the fact that they scored double digits yesterday but still lost the game! We'll get into that a bit more. Then, they are facing a lefty today :-) which is their cup of tea. They average 1.2 runs a game more against lefties than they do righties. And it gets stronger. They faced a lefty yesterday. Teams will always perform better when they face a pitcher with the same pitching orientation as the day before.
As for the Astros, there's no real reason to go against them. They are averaging 6 runs a game L10 and 7 runs a game L5. They are abover 500 on the road. And their pitcher Wandy was such a roady pitcher last season, i.e. he was 5.7 units better on the road than at home. But that is why we classify this game as a normal game instead of as a Game of the Week, etc..
Betting on home teams coming off a loss in which they scored double digit runs has made money the past 5 seasons, including going 1-0 this season if they are playing the same team as they did the game before. In that span, the angle is [21-10, +13 units]. And we like the Rockies for the other angles that they are positively involved in.
Take this game action regardless of pitcher... Although we are really loving it because of Wandy Rodriguez.
Detroit Tigers (-101) over Minnesota Twins (1.0 Units) - The Tigers, like the Rockies, are also coming off a loss in which they scored double digit runs. The only difference is that they were facing a lefty yesterday. And they much prefer right handed pitchers! They average 1.3 runs a game more against righties than they do against lefties.
What makes this specifically potent of a betting system considering the Tigers are not at home is the fact that they are fighting today to avoid a sweep.
