Whenever you are looking to reverse your bad fortunes, you are most motivated when your ace in the hole is on the mound. The sad thing about these Red Sox is that it is hard for them to see just who their ace is this season. And that would give Beckett the extra incentive to really study the scouting reports on the Mariners and fall into the role of ace.
